CPower Energy Management named Mike Ratliff as VP of utility solutions. In this new role, Ratliff will develop CPower’s technology roadmap to help utilities drive grid modernization and reliability. A technologist with more than three decades of experience, Ratliff has developed distributed energy resource platforms across the utility and energy industry. Prior to joining CPower, he was CTO for Enbala and also for Comverge.
Altus Power America named Melissa Boulan as its chief people officer. Boulan began her career as a tax accountant at Coopers & Lybrand, then spent almost 10 years at Goldman Sachs. She then joined Viking Global Investors as its first HR head where she helped design and implement various processes around talent, performance, and development. She later joined Vatera Holdings as chief of staff.
Public Service Enterprise Group said that David M. Daly, president of Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G), will retire at the end of 2021 after 35 years of service. Kim Hanemann, PSE&G’s senior VP and COO, will succeed Daly as president and COO, effective June 30. She will become the first woman to lead the utility in its 118-year history. Hanemann joined PSE&G as an associate engineer in 1986 and has held leadership positions in transmission, electric, and gas field operations. She was named to her current role in 2019, where she is responsible for PSE&G’s transmission, electric, gas, and customer operations, as well as the company’s asset management and centralized services organizations. She also oversees execution of the company’s large utility construction projects.
Georgia Power said that Chris Womack will assume the roles of chairman and CEO effective June 1. He succeeds Paul Bowers, who is retiring. Womack joined Southern Company in 1988 and has held several leadership positions within the company and its subsidiaries, serving as executive VP of external affairs at Georgia Power and senior VP and senior production officer of Southern Company Generation. Prior to joining Southern Company, Womack worked for the U.S. House of Representatives for then Congressman Leon E. Panetta.
Solar and energy storage provider SinglePoint said that Wil Ralston, who previously served as president and director, will become CEO and director pending contract completion. Greg Lambrecht, who previously served as CEO has transitioned to his role as CEO of 1606 Corp., which was recently spun off as its own entity.
