Swinerton Renewables & SolarFlex have announced a 26.4 MWac solar project, which public documents show is bigger than 48.6 MWdc – meaning a greater than 1.8:1 DC to AC ratio.

Avista Utilities, Strata Solar and Swinerton Renewables have come together to build a 28 MW-DC single axis tracker facility in Adams County, Washington. The facility will sell its electricity to 61 unique customers.

Swinerton has contracts for 165 MW of solar ground-mounted plants on three Department of Defense projects in Florida, and SunLink will provide the resting place for all the panels involved.

Chinese PV manufacturing giant, JinkoSolar, was chosen to supply its 72-cell solar modules to the North Star Solar project in Minnesota, U.S., which will be the largest solar plant in the American Midwest once it is connected to the grid later in the year.
