Trade group Advanced Energy Economy has published a scorecard which ranks candidates in nine gubernatorial races on clean energy issues, and one of the two major parties is largely missing in action.

The city becomes the 9th in Colorado to adopt a 100% renewable energy transition mandate.

The Colorado co-op has adopted a plan to get 70% of its electricity supply from clean sources by 2030, almost doubling its current 39% and far outpacing its required 10%.

A study finds that “just the operating costs of many existing coal assets” now exceed total costs for new solar and wind power in the Mountain West. A deal between Xcel Energy and steelmaker EVRAZ includes the building of a 240 MW solar project near the company’s Rocky Mountain Steel mill in Pueblo, Colorado. This is by far the largest behind-the-meter solar project pv magazine staff has heard of to date.
