Ripples in the sand: NV Energy to add 1.2 GW solar, 590 MW energy storage
NV Energy is making major plays in response to Nevada’s recently-raised RPS, as the company announced today that it will be purchasing power from three massive projects, totaling 1.2 GW of solar and 590 MW of battery storage.
Hawaii’s new RFP comes with a side of storage

Energy storage deployments double *and* triple in first quarter
Wood Mac reports that in the first quarter of 2019 energy storage power deployed grew 232% year over year to 149 megawatts, while capacity increased 110% to 271 megawatt-hours as Arizona, New Jersey and New York strong saw growth.
BEST bill seeks $300 million for long-term energy storage projects

Solar + storage for the first time in Arkansas
A 100 MW project featuring the state’s first large-scale battery storage system has been announced in Arkansas. The project will be developed by a subsidiary of NextEra, and the power bought by Entergy Arkansas.
