Proposal to NOLA City Council for RPS – a coalition of groups and businesses have submitted to the New Orleans City Council a proposal aimed at transforming the current energy system in the city and establishing 100% renewable portfolio standard by 2040. The initiative is the first of it’s kind, as most municipalities do not feature the same level of control over utilities as New Orleans has. 30% of the proposal’s mandate is allocated to local renewable energy generation. Charlottesville VA renewable energy alliance formed – Greenlight Energy, AltEnergy, Columbia Power, Coronal Energy, Apex Clean Energy, Sigora Solar, Sun Tribe Solar, Hexagon Energy and Coulomb have joined together to form the Charlottesville Renewable Energy Alliance. The Alliance aims to advocate for the growth of the renewable energy economy and build cities that embrace sustainable energy, starting in Charlottesville. Pegasus acquires Plus Minus Power – “Pegasus Group Holdings announced the acquisition of Plus Minus Power, a leader in renewable energy operations. Plus Minus Power provides a range of services that create, manage, maintain and monetize products that focus on reducing grid dependency and maximizing renewable energy self-consumption. Plus Minus Power is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pegasus Group Holdings. Dan Briggs, President and CEO of Plus Minus Power, has now taken on the additional position of President and CEO of Pegasus Group Holdings.
