“We are the only system with a 25-year bumper-to-bumper warranty,” says said Walter Ellard, co-founder and company president. The company is currently in negotiations with potential clients in Arizona, Nevada and Mexico.

iDES3 offers a residential solution, Echo, in a modular 9-36 kWh range, and offers the 36-324 kWh Alpha, in either indoor or outdoor versions as a complete modular microgrid with integrated inverter, controller, and management system.

“Our revolutionary energy storage units, which are designed to work with photovoltaics, windmills and other sources of sustainable energy, make it possible for our clients to go completely off the grid,” says Ellard.

Lithium iron phosphate, or LFP batteries have somewhat lower energy density than the more common LiCoO2 design found in consumer electronics, but offer longer lifetimes, better power density (the rate that energy can be drawn from them) and are inherently safer, according to Wikipedia.
