One of the great things about trade shows like this year’s Solar Power International is that they provide a place to bring many of the leaders who are shaping the global solar industry under one roof.

This week we bring you interviews from SPI 2016 with the CEOs of First Solar, SolarWorld, Array Technologies and Innovateus. Together, these four CEOs supply insights into the state of the global solar industry that covers multiple market segments, geographies and issues.

As the first in this series, we bring you an interview with First Solar’s new CEO, Mark Widmar, who talks about not only the changing landscape of the utility-scale solar market, but changes at First Solar, including the pending move to Series 5 and Series 6 modules and the move away from EPC work.
