U.S. targets 50 gigawatts of solar in 2024

With projections of greater than 8 GW of distributed solar being installed, and more than 40 GW of utility scale solar, the country is projected to grow its solar fleet greater than 25% from its 2023 deployments.

Solar surging 58% in 2023, 413 GW of installations expected globally

Historically low module prices are expected to propel the global solar industry to record installations in 2023.

All I want for Christmas is 400 GW of solar installed in 2023

For a long time global installation projections have come up short in forecasting solar installation volumes, including a big miss in 2022. Is it possible that we could see outpaced growth in 2023, like we saw in 2022?

BNEF releases 2018 clean energy predictions

BNEF has released its top 10 clean energy predictions for 2018, including at least 107 GW of solar PV installs. China will lead, but Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East will notably up the ante. India will install less RE than in 2017, but will see fossils outpace RE for the last time; and China will see distributed grid connected solar leading the market. Li-ion prices are also declining, while EV sales grow.
