Cables & Boxes:

Sunsniffer launched its rapid shut down junction box with monitoring & analysis, in cooperation with Leoni and from QC Solar. SunSniffer developed a sensor, which not only provides a special and unique module-level monitoring system, including module-level temperature measurement, analysis via artificial intelligence and a simulation engine, and is able to rapidly shut the system down according to the requirements of NEC 2017.

Finance:

Spruce Financial Introduces new residential solar loan on its new platform, SpruceFlow, which uniquely allows solar companies to offer homeowners multiple products from a single finance provider, on a single platform, with a single credit check.

Inverters/Optimizers:

Enphase announced its high IQ, the company’s sixth-generation microinverter system. Enphase IQ features a lightweight design and a two-wire cabling system while maintaining benefits such as full integration with the company’s Installer Toolkit, consumption monitoring, and Enlighten software, smart grid compatibility, and compliance with rapid shutdown requirements.

GE Power Conversion launched its Silicon Carbide (SiC) technology in its latest-generation 1500V PV inverter product, the LV5+ Solar Inverter. This inverter is a multi-MW, utility scale inverter with an efficiency rating of 99 percent.

Ingeteam announced UL1741 compliance for its new 1500 VDC Central Inverter Product line, the Ingecon Sun PowerMax U B Series inverters. These units are able to supply up to a maximum power of 1,637 kVA per unit. The inverters feature a Smart Cooling System which makes it possible to optimize and reduce the auxiliary services consumption. The inverter’s latest-generation electronic components are housed in an IP66 (NEMA 4) protected compartment.

SolarEdge is launching its highest wattage power optimizer the P800, with which Installers can now connect even higher-wattage modules in a 2-to-1 configuration in commercial projects. The unit also includes new monitoring capabilities to improve PV asset management with the launch of a new commercial cellular solution that directly integrates with weather stations and Revenue Grade Meters (RGMs).

Sungrow-Samsung SDI will release its UL standards certified 250kW energy storage inverter, the SC250KU. The unit has a Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) function, high power and energy density, large capacity, high efficiency and wide voltage range. The company is also showcasing its li-ion battery products, which are characterized by high energy density, longer lives and inherent safety features.

Yaskawa/Solectria Solar has added the Discom 1500, a 1500VDC string combiner, to its string combiner line. The combiners have gone through Highly Accelerated Lifetime Testing (HALT) guaranteeing all components are carefully vetted for highest reliability. They offer utility-scale and large commercial PV designers the design flexibility needed in combiners. These string combiners are being deployed in U.S. utility-scale projects from 50-200MW.

Monitors:

SolarEdge launched its P800 GSM weather station and commercial meter.

Racking & Mounting:

Mounting Systems announced its patent-pending next generation solar racking, Element, made with die-cast aluminum for superior rigidity and durability. Compatible for landscape or portrait orientation Integrated bonding for a complete connection Active water diversion. The system has both North-South and vertical adjustability.

TerraSmart released its first The first model of the Autonomous Precision Survey Rover (APSR), with a four-level safety system is built into the autonomous vehicle that can stop the rover up to a half-mile away. The APSR is designed for use on multiple terrains with “slope awareness” abilities and a geometric passive articulation suspension system. It is power by a gas/electric hybrid drive system, which allows it to run 24/7, and has 24-inch tires and a 10-inch ground clearance and can travel at a maximum speed of 11mph at a maximum incline of 45 degrees. The rover also uses line-of-sight wireless control, as well as Real Time Kinematics (RTK) GPS for precision, accuracy, and speed.

Unirac unveiled its Sunframe Microrail (SFM) system. Features include structural front Trimrail, post-install height adjustment, single module access, and single tool installation.

Storage:

BYD introducing its fully sustainable power solutions to the U.S. market, including two types of BYD solar modules: the Multiple Busbar (MBB) and 4 Busbar modules with 60 or 72 cells; and the BYD B-BOX system, the company’s energy storage solution.

Tracking:

SunLink introduced its TechTrack distributed single axis tracker, the second single-axis tracker in the company’s product line, joining the internationally deployed TechTrack Centralized. Central to the system’s innovation is a dynamic design feature called Dynamic Stabilization (TM), through which the characteristics of the tracker are changed depending on real-time, sensor-observed environmental conditions. The unit features an adjustable mast with an inverted vertical actuator arm that permits installation on grade sloped up to 10 degrees.
