The three-day event will host key utilities, regulators, renewable energy developers, policymakers, transmission executives and planners as they discuss the status of transmission across the West and how they can unblock the transmission bottleneck. This esteemed event is the only meeting in the US that delves into Western transmission planning and the opportunities for investment in the region.
The current transmission climate in the West is riddled with uncertainty. Recently, Peak Reliability announced its decision to end its Reliability Coordinator role, an energy bill to change CAISO’s governance is in line for approval in California, and Wind and Solar power are being held back by regulatory policies and Western market design. The 10th Annual Transmission Summit West aims to provide a forum where key stakeholders convene to discuss the uncertainty plaguing transmission in the West and offer solutions that will help the industry move forward.
The Summit will feature seven panel discussions which will provide valuable insights into the policy, regulatory and changing operational realities facing the industry.
