The Empire State’s solar industry has attracted nearly $1.5 billion in private investment, putting its goal of producing 50% of its electricity from renewables by 2030 in reach.

The HERO program, through which homeowners can finance PV systems and energy and water improvements, expanded to 28 more California communities this week.

The company will retain its presence in C&I and utility-scale solar, but is further moving its residential activities to origination and sales for other companies.

Production at the InnovationHub expected to commence in the second quarter of the year, the German storage specialist confirmed. Facility combines sonnen’s U.S. manufacturing operations and product research capabilities.

Tucson Electric Power is the first Arizona utility to finalize a rate plan since the Arizona Corporation Commission all but ended net-metering in the state for new customers – and they are taking advantage of it.
