Amid the rapid progress that the solar industry has made in the last decade the difficult history solar has had in the United States can be lost. It is not lost, however to Lyle Rawlings, a man dubbed “the founding father of renewable-energy legislation in New Jersey’’ by the New York Times and a 30-year veteran of the industry.
Not only is Rawlings the CEO of Advanced Solar Products, but he is also the founder of Mid-Atlantic SEIA, a former chapter of national SEIA, now in its 21st year.
Rawlings joined Nico Johnson on episode 139 of SunCast to discuss these early days of the industry, as well as the future and the effectiveness of SEIA at both the regional and national levels.
