In the last few years the United States has grown from a minor player among global solar markets to a heavy hitter, as the third-largest market in 2015, threatening to become the second-largest market.

We’ve been covering this closely at pv magazine, and we have now taken the next step to bring you closer news from the United States by launching our new U.S. website, pv-magazine-usa.com.

Content will be led by Americas Editor Christian Roselund, who is based in New England and has been covering the global and U.S. solar industry for six years. He is joined by our balance of systems expert Charles Thurston, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, a frequent contributor to the print magazine who knows more about trackers than anyone probably should. Additionally pv magazine Managing Director Eckhart Gouras, based in New York, will be contributing content on finance and legal issues.

For our U.S. site, we will be continuing our blow-by-blow coverage of net metering battles in key states, regulatory innovation in states like California and New York, insights into markets and finance by leading market analysts, and technical and grid issues as higher levels of solar come online.

Additionally we will be bringing more of a focus on the ever-increasing synergies between solar and energy storage, and more of a focus on issues of interest to installers.
