Two projects totaling 100 MW will be built by Invenergy to serve the company’s data center in Prineville, Oregon
425 MW of solar projects – including one on the site of a former coal mine – could exponentially increase the state’s installed capacity.
Invenergy plans to maintain day-to-day management of its renewable energy business, with the Québecois fund manager increasing its economic stake to 52%.
The project will be built on 640 acres of public land in a zone designated for solar energy, and is expected to be online by the end of 2020.
Despite the media buzz, Invenergy’s 6-state wind and solar project does not yet have power contracts.
