Soltec, a leading manufacturer and supplier of single-axis solar trackers in large-scale PV projects, has appointed Bill Overholt as General Manager of its U. S. subsidiary Soltec America, LLC. As a seasoned energy executive bringing more than 25 years of industry expertise to this role, he will be focused on growing Soltec’s North American business.
Overholt possesses vast experience in the energy sector, including development of solar PV and other utility-scale energy resources, originating PPA’s and other offtake arrangements, developing project structured finance for large-scale infrastructure projects, and general management of energy-related businesses all resulting in an extensive network of energy industry relationships.

The Soltec America office was established in California in 2015 as the base for U. S. sales growth and provide logistics plus technical support for PV projects within the country. An innovation center has also been created where the American R&D team is developing many product enhancements including testing and evaluation of the SF7 Bifacial Single-Axis Tracker.
