Primoris Services Corporation (NASDAQ:PRIM) (“Primoris” or “Company”) today announced a new solar award valued over $40 million. The contract was secured by Primoris Renewable Energy, part of the Power, Industrial, and Engineering segment.
- The award is for the construction of a 178 MWac (236 MWdc) solar electric generating facility located in West Texas that will be the largest solar facility in the state. During the busy summer months, the electricity generated from the facility will be used to power more than 50,000 homes in Austin, Texas.
- The scope of work includes all electrical, mechanical, and civil work, as well limited procurement and site control. The solar generating facility will occupy over 1,500 acres and utilize nearly 685,000 solar modules.
- Primoris Renewable Energy is partnering with Primoris Industrial and Primoris I&M to perform all scopes of work.
- Work commenced in the first quarter of 2018, and completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2018.
