CLT Joules announced today that the 2016 Catalyst Program is now open and accepting applications. Early stage, clean energy startups from across the United States are encouraged to apply online through www.cltjoules.com/apply.
Companies selected will participate in a three-month program focused on developing investment pitches to attain funds to grow in the following energy sectors: energy analytics, grid modernization, distributed energy resources and energy efficiency.
A class of six finalist companies will work with the CLT Joules network of corporate partners, mentors and seasoned entrepreneurs to refine business strategies, develop industry connections and polish pitch presentations. A dinner event on November 3rd at the Duke Energy Center will introduce the class and ninety days later, they will pitch their businesses to the investment community.
The Catalyst Program curriculum is designed to address business development needs of entrepreneurs and to nurture strategic partnership opportunities with regional companies. “CLT Joules has a history of helping energy startups in the region,” said Bob Irvin, Executive Director of CLT Joules. “Many times, the concepts are sound, but companies need help with marketing and intellectual property issues. Our program can fine-tune those skills and shape these startups into viable, sustainable businesses.” The 2016 event series is sponsored by Duke Energy.
