Three candidates have been chosen to run for three board seats in the 2019 Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative Board of Directors election. Incumbent directors Calvin Murashige, Jan TenBruggencate and Peter Yukimura were confirmed by the nominating committee in December. There were no nominations by petition submitted by the deadline of January 10, 2019.
A director is one of nine elected representatives of the members of KIUC. The Board of Directors sets the strategic direction and policies of the cooperative.
Election packets will be mailed to members at the end of February. The election deadline is Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 12:00 noon.
