SolarWorld, the largest U.S. crystalline-silicon solar technology manufacturer for more than 40 years, announced today that it has supplied about 400 kilowatts of solar panels for Constellation’s solar installation at the Under Armour Performance Center, the Baltimore Ravens training facility in Owings Mills, Md.
The project encompassed a portion of nearly 65 megawatts of high-performance solar panels that SolarWorld has provided to Baltimore-based Constellation. In many cases, Constellation owns and operates systems for at least 20 years, during which time property owners enjoy power from the systems at fixed, reduced rates.
“When solar system owner-operators go in search of solar panels, they have return-on-investment incentives to choose quality and reliability for the long run,” said Mukesh Dulani, U.S. president of SolarWorld. “That often leads them to choose SolarWorld.”
Constellation is a leading competitive retail supplier of power, natural gas and energy products and services for homes and businesses across the continental United States. The company’s family of retail businesses serves approximately 2 million residential, public-sector and business customers.
