Go Solar Group to expand solar plus services in San Antonio, Texas market

Salt Lake City-based solar provider, Go Solar Group, has announced its expansion to San Antonio’s residential solar market.

Still true to the philanthropic vision upon which the company was founded, Go Solar Group is excited to show San Antonio residents the city’s tremendous solar energy potential, providing its signature four tiers of backup, ensuring power continuity in natural disasters, and giving San Antonio residents energy independence through solar power.

“As an entrant to the San Antonio market, we know we’ll be able to increase citizens’ awareness of the role solar power can play in their lives, particularly those who think the tariff put solar out of reach for their homes,” says Scott Cramer, CEO/President and Co-founder of Go Solar International, who’s been in the renewable energy business for over 20 years.

“As a debt-free company with installation teams over twice as fast as our competitors’, we are efficient enough in our operations to achieve two important solar objectives for the San Antonio metropolitan area: 1) Not cutting corners on product quality, and 2) not passing the increased cost of solar panels on to customers,” Cramer adds.

As San Antonio’s power scarcity surges and electricity costs rise at erratic and unpredictable rates, residential solar becomes a more important game-changer than ever, even if it requires an up-front investment.

Cramer also highlights Go Solar Group as a company that can show the global relevance of solar through localized installs, particularly through the non-profit arm of Go Solar Group, Go Solar International.

“For every system we install domestically in America, we microfinance the equivalent of the installed system abroad in Uganda, providing clean power to those who need it most. We are excited to bring a customer-focused lens to San Antonio that also raises awareness of the bigger picture of solar energy’s capacity to improve the world as a whole.”

Go Solar Group is a San Antonio solar panels provider. Founded in 2009, the company initially provided solar power to orphanages in Africa, giving a 1:1 purchase opportunity to off-the-grid areas in Uganda and Zambia. After obtaining an electrical license in 2011, Go Solar Group became NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Certified in 2013, scaling its efforts statewide in Salt Lake City, Utah; Reno, Nevada; and now, San Antonio, Texas.
