Cooperative Energy Futures (“CEF”), a Minnesota-based member-owned clean energy cooperative, has announced it has secured a strategic investment to support five community solar projects in Minnesota: Eden Prairie, Clara City, Lake Elmo, Midtown, and Mankato. Catalina Energy Capital served as financial advisor to Cooperative Energy Futures in connection with the transaction.
The portfolio advances CEF’s mission to expand equitable access to locally developed renewable energy through community ownership and cooperative participation. The projects will operate under Minnesota’s community solar framework and are designed to provide households and small businesses with access to clean power and long-term energy savings. The portfolio’s subscriber base is composed predominantly of low- and moderate-income Minnesotans.
Cooperative Energy Futures is a member-owned cooperative that exists to make clean energy accessible to all. CEF envisions a future where community members own, manage, and use clean energy systems together for our collective benefit. Through its community solar model, CEF empowers working families and small businesses to access affordable clean energy and benefit directly from the energy transition.
