Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions Showcased Powerful Lineup at RE+ 2023

Share

Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions will display a dynamic mix of its diversified energy solutions portfolio at this year’s RE+ in Las Vegas at The Venetian Conference & Expo Center from September 11 to 14. From best-in-class standby generators to scalable battery storage systems, the company offers a comprehensive line of intelligent energy solutions that residential and commercial audiences can rely on to provide energy independence, cost savings and peace of mind.

The company’s latest innovations will be on display in booth #5554, including its new Energy Storage System (ESS) Packages that offer generator dealers, solar installers and consumers a simplified, state-of-the-art technology solution that is versatile enough to serve a variety of applications. Other highlights of the booth include the safety-certified BOSS and AccESS cabinets, the SimpliPHI Energy Storage System (ESS) and its companion monitoring system EnergyTrak™, and high-voltage products, including the PHI 3.8-M™ and AmpliPHI™ batteries.

“Whether someone is looking to provide primary power to their entire home, or a business needs backup power it can rely on during a disruptive outage, we have a solution,” says Tom Rugg, SVP and President of Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions. “We continue to grow and optimize our product portfolio to include the most reliable, intelligent solutions that make it easier for home and business owners to take control of their energy usage. We’re excited to showcase our latest additions at RE+ and engage with other experts on the most pressing issues facing our industry today.”

Energy Management Made Simple

Briggs & Stratton is helping to simplify energy management with its new ESS packages that take three core components — Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) batteries, a recently-enhanced 6kW SimpliPHI inverter and the EnergyTrak control system and app — and integrate them into an all-in-one bundle that combines reliability, cost-effectiveness and environmental consciousness. The innovative, modular technology allows the system to independently scale power and energy storage capacity to meet any installation requirement. Briggs & Stratton has rolled out two package options for installers and dealers: the SimpliPHI ESS Package and the AmpliPHI ESS Package.

Both SimpliPHI and AmpliPHI batteries have closed-loop communications that expedite information-sharing across all components, increasing efficiency and reducing programming time. The batteries are outlasting the traditional 10-year battery limited warranty, so Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions has increased it to an industry-leading 15-year battery limited warranty.* These products are designed, developed and manufactured in the U.S., and all EnergyTrak customer information is stored in the U.S. for added security.

Improved EnergyTrak Management System

Briggs & Stratton delivers more intuitive control to owners of the SimpliPHI ESS with EnergyTrak. This intelligent control system provides advanced monitoring through a streamlined mobile app that gives real-time status updates and intuitive control over the entire ESS.

EnergyTrak gives owners peace of mind — even when on the go — that their ESS is providing the energy solution they need, whether that is optimizing for higher-rate time-of-use (TOU) periods or providing critical backup power to conserve energy. The EnergyTrak mobile app seamlessly and intelligently integrates the SimpliPHI ESS 6 kW Inverter and 4.9 kWh Battery at any scale, in any combination, to help optimize performance, accelerate utility savings and create energy security for customers.

Recent improvements to the EnergyTrak app include:

  • Faster over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates, with real-time visibility to modifications as they process
  • More user-configurable options to schedule system updates
  • Greater, more efficient control for installers to manage inverter functionality during and after initial configuration
  • Ability to monitor Briggs & Stratton PHI batteries as well as other brands of batteries that don’t have built-in communications

Sequoya Cross, VP of Energy Storage for Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions, is presenting “The Value Proposition for Software and Apps in Energy Storage System Deployment” at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, in Storage Central in booth #5958. Insights from the presentation will include the role software and mobile apps like EnergyTrak will play in the deployment and broader adoption of ESS. Cross’s presentation will also explore the significant benefits software and mobile apps can bring to ESS, including faster commissioning times, complete system management, remote troubleshooting and more.

In-Booth Training Opportunities

Show attendees will have the opportunity to attend exclusive in-booth training sessions throughout RE+ on a variety of topics, including the basics of selling backup energy solutions, the growing interest in ESS for commercial and industrial applications, upgrading off-grid systems to lithium batteries and more.
