SunPower makes the highest efficiency PV modules available for rooftop and utility-scale PV plants through its IBC PV cell technology, which it manufactures in Southeast Asia and Mexico. Following its purchase of SolarWorld Americas and the company’s factory in Hillsboro, Oregon, SunPower retooled the factory to make its shingled P-Series modules. SunPower also has a small pilot line making its Next Generation Technology (NGT) back-contact cells in Silicon Valley.
