Tony Clifford, Chief Development Officer, Standard Solar: Since 2007 Mr. Clifford has led Standard Solar’s rapid growth into a nationally known PV developer and finance firm. He began his career at Solarex Corporation, later acquired by British Petroleum (BP Solar). He is a board member of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), serves on SEIA’s Executive Committee and also served as the president of the regional chapter, MDV-SEIA from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Clifford earned his MBA at University of Virginia’s Darden School and his undergraduate degree at Penn State.
Tor “Solar Fred” Valenza, Director of Marketing at SepiSolar: For the past 10 years, Tor “Solar Fred” Valenza has been a leading solar industry thought leader, consulting with top solar and energy storage brands on marketing, public relations, branding, and social media. In addition to his past consulting work, Valenza is the author of Solar Fred’s Guide to Solar Guerrilla Marketing and a frequent solar communications and advocacy blogger on pv magazine and other solar trade publications.

In addition to sharing solar news and advocacy there, Valenza hosts “Solar Tweetups” at SPI and Intersolar NA, enabling the international solar tribe to meet in person at two annual happy-hours. Currently, Valenza serves as the Director of Marketing at SepiSolar, a national solar+storage design and engineering company based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
